In Medieval times, red hair was considered to be the mark of a beastly sexual desire. To have red hair and green eyes meant you were either a witch, werewolf or a vampire. My little niece, who is the biggest fan of the motion picture series “Twilight”, assure me that being a vampire is “the coolest”. I couldn’t tell her that in the Middle Ages suspected vampires were burned at the stake and their ashes spread across the corn fields to fertilize the crops.
